Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
CoyoteCast LLC, an Idaho limited liability company ("CoyoteCast", "we", "us"), runs the CoyoteCast social media publishing service and the website at coyotecast.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Requests to join. When an organization asks to use CoyoteCast, we collect the organization's name, the contact person's name and email address, its website, a description of the organization, and the networks and account handles it wants to use. We use this to evaluate the request and get in touch.
- Member accounts. For each person who posts for an organization: a username, display name, email address and which organizations they belong to. Signing in sets a session cookie needed to keep you signed in; we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Content you submit. The videos, photos and captions your team submits, along with any scheduling and platform choices.
- Activity records. Which member submitted which post and when, and administrative actions such as creating an organization or connecting an account. We keep these for security and support.
- Connected social accounts. When your organization connects an account, we receive and store an access token from that platform, plus the account's ID, name, handle and profile picture. For Bluesky, we store the app password you create for CoyoteCast in the same way. We never receive your social media account passwords.
- Publishing records. What was posted to which account, when, its status, and the link to the published post.
- Website logs. Our web server records the time, page requested, response status and browser type for each request to this website. These logs don't include IP addresses, cookies or URL query strings, and are deleted after 90 days.
- Email. Messages you send to us, and our replies.
To limit abuse of the sign-up form, we briefly hold the requester's IP address in memory to count requests. It isn't written to disk and is discarded within an hour.
How we use information
We use this information only to provide CoyoteCast: to set up organizations and members, publish and schedule the content you submit to the accounts you connect, send confirmation and account emails, provide support, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your content or account data for advertising.
Information from Google and YouTube
CoyoteCast uses YouTube API Services. When you connect a YouTube channel, we use the access granted only to upload the videos your organization submits to that channel and to read the channel's name, thumbnail and video status. CoyoteCast's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke CoyoteCast's access at any time from your Google account's security settings.
Who we share information with
- The social networks you connect. We send each network the content your organization submits for it, using that network's official API.
- Service providers. Google (Gmail) delivers the confirmation and account emails we send. Cloudflare provides our domain's DNS and forwards email sent to support@coyotecast.com.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of CoyoteCast, our customers or others.
- Business transfers. If CoyoteCast is merged or sold, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
Where information is stored
CoyoteCast runs on servers operated by CoyoteCast LLC in the United States. Content and tokens are stored there, not with a third-party cloud provider.
How long we keep information
- Submitted content stays in your organization's folder until your team deletes it, or until we delete it after your organization stops using CoyoteCast.
- Access tokens are kept while the account stays connected and are deleted when it's disconnected.
- Member accounts are kept while the member belongs to an active organization.
- Requests to join, activity records and publishing records are kept while they're needed for support, security or our records.
- Website logs are deleted after 90 days.
Your choices
- Disconnect any account at any time from that platform's own settings, or ask us to disconnect it.
- Ask us for a copy of, a correction to, or deletion of information we hold about you or your organization by emailing support@coyotecast.com. Some records may need to be kept where the law requires it.
Security
All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Signing in is required to submit content or reach administrative pages, and each member can only act for their own organization. Access tokens are stored on servers that are not reachable from the internet except through the specific endpoints that publishing and account connection require. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify affected organizations promptly if we learn of a breach involving their data.
Children
CoyoteCast is a service for organizations and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also email the organizations using CoyoteCast.
